Shortcuts (Ericsson T28)

Police Radar Detect ! (Nokia 5110 + 6110 + 6150 + 8210 + 8250)
To detect police radars please follow the following steps,
Settings ->
Security Settings ->
Restrict Group ->
Activate and enter the code 00000 then press Ok.
Doing that you can see a little icon in your display phone, that allowed in a range of 1 Km the phone detect the police radar by bipping like a massage.
Please note that this codes are reported not working at some country, we need feedback also if it works in your country.
Bypass the SP lock (Nokia Models)
With some versions of Nokia 16xx/21xx/31xx/51xx/81xx that are SIMlocked you can bypass the SP lock like this:
1] Insert sim card of diferent provider.
2] Turn on the phone and press the UP VOLUME key for 3 sec. then release it and the phone says PIN CODE ?
3] Press the "C" key.
4] Then Press * and wait until it desapear and apear again, then press * one more time and 04*PIN*PIN*PIN#
The phone now says: PIN CODE CHANGED (or ACCEPTED)
and the SIM card is accepted until you restart the phone again.
NOTE: On vesion 5.04 (5110) Nokia has removed this option !

Update from 8110 >8110i impossible
Even though NHE-6 is found on the bagside of 8110 too an update from that phone to the 8110i is impossible. The reason is simple. The hardware is different which means that the SW capacity in 8110i is bigger than the 8110.
Original Ringtone
I you want the original ringtone back after you have downloaded one you can send a message to yourself containing the text: //SCKL1581 After some time you will recieive a message that you can save, and your original Nokia ringtone is back.
What's a Business Card?

Hands Free tip
To continue an existing call when placing the 8110i into the hands free car kit without it dropping the call, press the Memory button just before connecting the cable and placing it in the cradle.
Display extra text in call costs feature tip
If your network operator doesn't offer a call costs service, you can still make use of that function to display some personalised text on the screen of your 8110i. Go to Menu, [5], [7], [1], enter PIN2-code and choose Set. Then type in the limit of the currency units you're using (if the call cost service worked, you would have to type the cost limit of the calls) and choose OK. In this case I typed 8110. Then go to the next submenu (Menu, [5], [7], [2]), the Show costs in menu. Type in the PIN2 code again and select Currency. Type in the unit price, in this case number 1. Then type the name of the currency - you can use any string of letters and numbers 1-3 characters long. then type 2 letter then to confirm type two names begining with one of each of the letters. Then press OK to confirm it.
Quick saving while in call tip
Saving numbers to memory during a call If you type a number into your phone during a call, you will lose it when the call ends. To prevent this happening just hold down Memory button -- the number will be saved (with no name) to the next available memory location.
Deleting SMS messages quickly tip
When reading an SMS message, instead of pressing Option, Erase to delete the message, simply press [C].
Turning lights on temporarily tip
If you have display lights turned off, you can turn them on by quickly pressing and releasing the power button. They will stay on as long as you are pressing button.
Silent mode temporarily tip
You can put your phone into silent ringing mode temporarily by pressing Menu then [#].
Closing the cover without ending a call tip
If you press the menu key and then close the sliding cover during a call you will not end your call.

Hold clear until whole text is cleared, then press back 5. Press 0.Main screen is shown but a space appears on the screen. You can't see it ofcause. 6. Enter 4 digits ( 1234 for example ) 7. Use the down arrow to move the cursor to the left side of the numbers and the space (2 times down arrow) 8. Now enter 6 digits and press the green "Call button". 9. Wait some seconds..the phone will now flash the background light and finally reboot.
The trick should also work on other menus like the profile menu...

Crazy 5110
Send a SMS full of . (dots) the it'll go crazy when you scroll the received message in your 5110. It doesn't do any permanent damage...it only goes crazy if you scroll the SMS. I'm not sure if it works with all of the software version but it works with 4.59. Doesn't work on SW version 4.53 ..
Your number in your display
1. Goto menu 3-7 Call cost settings.
2. Turn ON the Call costs' limit 3-7-1. PIN2 code Required.
3. Put in the limit with the phone number. eg. my phone # is 019 2184697 Enter the limit as 2184697
4. Goto menu 3-7-2 Show costs in. PIN2 code Required.
5. Select Currency.
6. Enter Unit price : 1
7. Enter Currency name as 019 (per my phone # eg. above) Now the phone number 019 2184697 will remains on the 4th row of the display. Secondly, if you press the # key, it prompt which line to be used; Line 1 or 2.

To access to the menu in your phone without having a card inside do the following: type **04*0000*0000*0000# When display say "Wrong Pin" press NO and you have access to the all menus: Info, Access, Settings, Calculator, Clock, Keylock On?, Mail, Phone book.
NOTE if you try this on the GH688 your phone may stop at Keylock On? menu and you´ll have to take your battery out to turn the phone on again.
Free phone calls
NB! This trick has only been reported working on PREPAID GSM CARDS and in some countries and with some sw versions.
The prepaid GSM SIM CARD is a kind of "SIM card" which only has a sertant amount of credit on it (like a normal phonebox telecard)... if it can be traced? - I don't know...
Well..here's the trick you dial the no. normally and press YES. While "connecting" is shown on the screen, the following procedure should be carried out:
Press CLR then 0 then # and then NO (twice) so as to switch OFF the phone. You can then still speak on the phone while it is switched off but the SIM card does not record your calls which will lead to FREE phone calls in some countries.. we hope!!
Another variant of the code
Make a Call, while the phone says Connecting type 083# (the position 83 must be empty! ), when phone says Pos Emtpy, press the NO key and turn off the phone.
If you can make the call with the phone turned off you will face a problem when you need to hang up the phone...the only way for you to do that is remove the battery...??? (Please tell me otherwise!!)

You can view the full operator list by doing the following: Go to the 'Edit list' menu under 'networks'. The phone say 'please wait' (searching for other networks). When finished, Press the < key once, then YES twice. Now the phone displays the full list. Browse through the list with the < > keys.

Crazy 5110

Well..here's the trick you dial the no. normally and press YES. While "connecting" is shown on the screen, the following procedure should be carried out:
Press CLR then 0 then # and then NO (twice) so as to switch OFF the phone. You can then still speak on the phone while it is switched off but the SIM card does not record your calls which will lead to FREE phone calls in some countries.. we hope!!
Another variant of the code
Make a Call, while the phone says Connecting type 083# (the position 83 must be empty! ), when phone says Pos Emtpy, press the NO key and turn off the phone.
If you can make the call with the phone turned off you will face a problem when you need to hang up the phone...the only way for you to do that is remove the battery...??? (Please tell me otherwise!!)

If you for some reason don't want to enter the 'Last Dialed calls menu' by using the 'YES' key you can use the following key stroke instead: First '0' then '#'.
Bat. level indicator when turned OFF
When the gh688 is turned off and the phone is not changing - the bat. level can be seen for a short period of time by pressing the 'NO' key quick once (it has to be quick!) and then wait for about 2 sec. The bat. level will now be shown in the display at its normal position.
Access menu without Sim card
To access to the menu in your phone without having a card inside do the following: type **04*0000*0000*0000# When display say "Wrong Pin" press NO and you have access to the all menus: Info, Access, Settings, Calculator, Clock, Keylock On?, Mail, Phone book. NOTE if you try this on the GH688 your phone may stop at Keylock On? menu and you´ll have to take your battery out to turn the phone on again.
Full Network Name
You can see the Full Network Name by doing the following:
Go to the network menu, when the phone displays the networks available (in 'Select net' and 'Edit list' menu) you can press * and you will see the full name.

you can edit your mig and give it a new look the way you want. but notice editing mig,decompile,reverse engineer or re implementing is quite illegal. so edit your mig for your sole purpose. Do not distribute,sale or post it on the net so the other people mite use it and you will be sentenced.

Open REGEDIT (Start, Run, regedit)

2.) Right-click on My Computer icon on Desktop and select Properties, now goto Advanced tab in new window and click on Settings button in Performance section click on settings :

from there, no install is needed, no registry changes are made,
no reboot is required and anytime you don't want the program
anymore you can just delete it and delete the shortcut to it

you have access to the all menus: Info, Access, Settings, Calculator, Clock,
